ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY

The fate of our planet hangs in the balance, and it's up to each and every one of us to take action to safeguard our future. It's not just government leaders who must step up to the plate – but artists and design studios must also shoulder their share of the responsibility.

WARP is committed to creating a more sustainable future. We've partnered with a mill that shares our values, and together we're implementing a comprehensive sustainability program that addresses compliance, environmental impact, and social responsibility.

From the way we weave and package our rugs to our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we're taking bold steps to make the world a better place.

Ethics & Sustainability

INVESTING IN NATURE TO BECOME CARBON NEGATIVE

One of our biggest initiatives has been for us to become carbon negative. By planting trees we reverse the amount of Co2 we release into the atmosphere - which is one of the best ways to invest in the battle against climate change.

For each meter square of rug we weave, we are committed to planting enough trees to capture over 3 times as much carbon as we put into the atmosphere.

We use our worst performing rug in terms of carbon emissions as our CO2 capture benchmark across our entire range of rugs.

GOODWEAVE

As a partner of Goodweave, we are fully opposed to child labour and ensure that all of our rugs, made by adult artisans, adhere to strict ethical standards.

This initiative offers educational opportunities, rescues child labourers and provides critical services for weaving families. A percentage of the cost for each rug supports Goodweave social programs in India, Nepal or Afghanistan.
